AEGEAN ODYSSEY is a premium class ship that is being especially rebuilt to cater for cruising in the coastal waters of the central and southern Mediterranean. The vessel provides the best features of a mid-size ship such as passenger space, a choice of restaurants and stability in inclement weather. It also has the personal service and intimate surroundings of a small ship. Other advantages of the ship’s size are that it is able visit ports that are too small for larger vessels, navigate around the scenic islands of the Adriatic and Mediterranean and can also pass through the Corinth Canal.

Originally a mid-size vessel carrying up to 570 passengers, Aegean Odyssey’s new configuration includes generously sized suites, junior suites and staterooms with and without balconies. This means she now accommodates fewer than 380. By creating these new staterooms we will add a dimension of luxury to the vessel and this has enabled us to create a special level of accommodation entitled “Concierge Class”. These guests will benefit from a few extra features to those enjoyed by all passengers on the ship. Classically elegant but far from stuffy and formal, Aegean Odyssey has been designed to offer the sophisticated traveller every comfort at sea.

LIFE ON BOARD: FROM BOOKS TO YOGA
Aegean Odyssey has a beautifully appointed and well-stocked library. As well as a selection of books covering classical history and literature, the library also has range of modern fiction, magazines and newspapers. For those passengers who want to keep in touch with friends, check the markets or find out what’s happening in the world, there is also an internet centre on board. To attend to the body as well as the mind, you can relax on the sweeping sun decks and cool off in the outdoor pool. There is also a fully equipped gym with lockers and showers, a spa with his and hers saunas, massage and beauty treatment rooms and early morning yoga on the Lido Deck. The hairdressers and beauty centre are located on the Belvedere Deck adjacent to the reception area.

Venice
The city of Venice sits at the top of the Adriatic Sea in the north east corner of Italy. It is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The city sits on 118 small islands in the Venetian Lagoon – a salt marsh. In the 12th century Venice became a city state and its location at the top of the Adriatic made it a key naval and commercial centre as well as a flourishing art centre.

Modern Venice is stunning and retains the wonderful history of this unique city. It is a city of museums, galleries, piazzas, palaces, churches and more. One visit isn’t enough to see all that Venice has to offer but visitors should try and see the Basilica San Marco and San Marco Square, the Doges Palace and the Gallerie dell'Accademia which houses some of Italy’s finest art treasures.

Rome
Rome is one of the most popular cities in the world and is a history lesson in itself. Key sites include the Vatican City, The Forum, the Colosseum and the ruins of the Circus Maximus. There are many museums and art galleries, with works by Raphael, Bottecelli, Pinturicchio and Belini and many more.

The Vatican City has many spectacular buildings and churches to visit principle amongst which is the Sistine Chapel with its Michelangelo ceiling. It is the world's smallest independent sovereign state and also features St. Peter's Basilica was built over 1,500 years ago the Vatican Library hand the Vatican Garden.

Modern Rome is a city of restaurants, open piazza's, wonderful shopping and more.

Livorno
Livorno is a port city on the Tyrrhenian Sea on the western edge of Tuscany, Italy. It is the capital of the Province of Livorno and the third-largest port on the western coast of Italy. Livorno is one of the most important ferry ports in Italy offering sailings to both Corsica and Sardinia and is also one of the countries major naval towns. Livorno itself is surrounded by beautiful sea and nature with a wonderful countryside including rich parks.

Attractions in Livorno include the Natural History Museum and the Aquarium, the Villa Henderson, which combines antique finds with modern educational tours, and also has a Botanic Garden. The quarter known as Nuova Venezia (New Venice), built during the 17th century, still preserves some of its original features. Particularly interesting are the Medicean Fossi, a network of navigable canals connecting the warehouses and homes of merchants which, like those in Venice, had entrances at water level leading to rooms where goods were once stored. Piazza della Republica is still admired today for its unusual architecture. It is in fact a bridge covering a long stretch of navigable canal.

Seville
Seville is the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. It is the capital of Andalusia and of the province of Sevilla. It is a city that is steeped in history, boasting many magnificent monuments and buildings, some which date from the 6th century.

One of the richest areas of the city is the Barrio Santa Cruz, with its narrow streets and whitewashed houses. Near here is the Plaza de España, designed as the centrepiece of the Spanish Americas fair, and on the edge of the beautiful Maria Luisa Park.

Other attractions in Seville include the famous Gothic cathedral, third largest church in the world; the Giralda, a Moorish minaret that is the city's landmark; and the Alacazar Palace, where Spanish kings and queens still reside. There are also many museums in Seville, including the spectacular Museo de Bellas Artes.

Bordeaux
Bordeaux is a port city in the south west of France. It is the capital city of the Aquitaine region and is famous for its many varieties of wine, which are considered among the best in the world.

Bordeaux is a historical city with many tourist attractions. The city itself boasts elegant neoclassical architecture, wide avenues, and attractive public squares and parks. The centre of town lies between Place Gambetta and the Garonne River. There are many fascinating museums and art galleries, excellent shopping and beautiful gardens to enjoy.

Bordeaux also offers a great selection of cafes and restaurants in the Place de la Victoire, the Place du Parlement or the Rue de Parlement Sainte Catherine. Sample some of Bordeaux’s lively nightlife by checking out the city’s late night dance venues on the Quai de Paludate.

Honfleur
Honfleur is a sea and river port of call, located between the tidal Estuary of the Seine and the "Plateau d'Auge", France. It is a city rich in artistic and historic heritage with a picturesque port area characterized by slate-covered houses. Visitors to Honfleur gravitate towards the old centre, around the Vieux Bassin, and the Promenade. The church of St-Étienne nearby is now the Musée de la Marine.

The town's artistic past can be discovered in the Musée Eugène Boudin. Admission also gives you access to the detached belfry of the church of Ste-Catherine. Just down the hill, is Les Maisons Satie, the red-timbered house of the composer Erik Satie, born there in 1866. Inside is Normandy's most unusual and enjoyable museum.

Tilbury
Tilbury is located on the north bank of the River Thames, in the borough of Thurrock in England, at the point where the river suddenly narrows to about 740 metres in width. Tilbury is a modern town, which is home to one of Europe’s largest container ports, together with a international cruise terminal.

To the west of Tilbury is the popular Lakeside shopping complex, and the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, the longest cable-stayed bridge in Europe.To the East is St. Catherine’s Church which is possibly on the site of one of the first Christian monasteries developed in the 7th C. Henry VIII built riverside block houses at East and West Tilbury, these later becoming Coalhouse and Tilbury Forts.
